Notes

Really easy run today to finish off 75. New PR. Cool. Mom biked along with me and it was great to have company. Shout out to Becky for that.

Feeling good coming out of a higher mileage week and looking forward to a bit more. The next two weeks bring one big week and one recovery week At this point, and feeling as I do, I am planning to make this next week to come my big week of the two. I have one more week at home, with good company, on familiar routes, and I think it will be much easier to hit a large number of miles over the next 7 days than it will be after that. A week from today I move east, which includes almost 2 full days of driving, and then I begin the week long process of move-in and orientation. I anticipate it being hard to run a lot of miles that first week. Assuming I continue to feel good, this plan seems to make the most sense.

Felt springy today and was thrilled that was the case. It makes sense, after a fairly easy 8 yesterday, and over 24 hours of rest before an easy 4 today. I have always found that I can handle just about any reasonable number of miles so long as I have a really easy day of the week. Some would probably shorten other days of the week and lengthen the easy day, but only 3 or 4 miles at the end of the week has always worked for me and is usually something I need and crave.

I like your planning and reflection on upcoming events. I cannot believe that you leave the Midwest in one week and that I will have to wait months to see you, but I am thrilled in anticipation of your new adventures and getting to read about your daily adventures! :)

Live up your last week at home!
