Notes
Dark, damp, stiff, cold run that sorta defines marathon training right now in my opinion. Another double digit day with no particular structure, and it had to happen at 6:30am on a Saturday in order to make sure it got in before traveling to the state meet. At other points in a training cycle or at times when I'm not in a training cycle, simply warming up and cooling down with the teams, and also the ridiculous amount of running and sprinting that occurs mid-meet would have been enough for a day. However, this consistent 10-11 mile effort needed to happen, and it wasn't going to happen the way it needed to unless it was accomplished before the days activities began.
I will admit, however, it was enjoyable and beautiful to be out running to watch the sunrise.
And, when I returned home in the dark around 6pm after a very long and tiring day, I was very glad I didn't have to put my shoes on to go outside and run for an hour and a half. I guarantee it wouldn't have happened.
