Notes

I usually don't consider 10 a long run, however at this point in the season and in my training 10 will i'm sure be my longest single run this week. Additionally it was a van out on scenic river road on a cold afternoon/evening and that always says long run to me.

Great Great Great run with an absolutely awesome group. Myself, Tricia, Yarrow, Lauren Mordini, and Sodalis.

Ran back from Blufton from the 10 mile drop off and from the first few steps I felt good. The pace was comfortable for the first half and then picked up a little bit as we hit the pavement. I felt fantastic and could have run much much faster. Muscles and legs were sparkling yesterday for no apparent reason, and it was great. The miles flew by, we laughed and chatted the whole way, and the 5 who were out there was the perfect little group. So much fun.

The only negative was the sun set with about 2 miles to go and with it the temperature dropped off considerably. First winter run I've returned from with frozen quads, butt, and stomach, and the thawing process was painful as usual. However quite worth it, it was a fantastic time and one of the best runs and groups I've had in a long time.

Your legs were sparkling because you're a great runner, and great runners are rewarded for the hard work they invest on unexpected runs with worthy comrades. Oh oh oh I wish I could have run with you guys, so jealous. I'm so happy you had a run to remember, keep it up Maggie.

Hooray! So glad you were able to enjoy such a great run with good companionship--not something to ever take for granted! :)
