Notes

Emma and I got up early again to beat the heat, and she took me on a modified tour of badger prairie and part of her old stomping ground. She led through a flat but slightly burly trail that was mostly shaded, and it was absolute bliss to run behind Emma Spoon on trails again. It takes me back to my roots and glory days and chasing Emma up and down the bluffs and trails of Decorah (Yes, I was always chasing). I'm fairly certain I owe much of my college success to those days.

The second half of the run was on a flat, gravel trail that I can't remember the name of, and was defined by rising temps, trying to beat the clock back to the car so Emma could get to church on time, and spotting the "White Kenyan', a local elite who Emma semi-dated at one point in college. I thoroughly enjoyed the nickname.
