Notes

The knee survived the test.

I ran for an hour, and it stayed mostly happy.

It will take me more than an hour to race 10 miles on Sunday, but hopefully not significantly longer than that. So it feels good to have an hour run under my belt.

It has now survived the tests of an hour of running, speed work, race pace work, etc. Putting all those elements together will obviously bring a more strenuous test, but I can squeeze at least a little bit of confidence from what Iv done recently.

I am not at all operating under the naive assumption that it will be totally fine for the entirety of the race, but I'm quite hopeful that it will be good through 6,7 or 8 miles, and that's good enough for me. I can deal with it for 2-3 miles on race day, not a problem. And then I'll deal with the knee again with renewed attention next week.

Triage and negotiation - the title of my athletic 'career.' Playing the game well, my friend. Hope you have a smooth week!
