I think I consider this my first true ski of the year, mostly because it was entirely independent from maple grove practice, and I was able to put in some headphones, ski continuous for an hour and a half, and do my skiing thing.
First workout of the year as well.
3x8 min @ L3.
Felt decent, I think, for the first time dipping my toes into ski workouts in a hot minute. I think I hit the effort about right- though it is hard to tell, because aerobically it felt right, but by the end of each repeat my glutes/butt were pretty much hitting failure. So from a muscle standpoint I think it was more than L3. But it was good to get it in.
I've said it lately and I'll say it again. I have some serious engine power at the moment, now I just need some power and strength to utilize it!
And that's why I'm working hard in the weight room.
