Had a great hill workout today. Felt more powerful on the hills than I have before, I think. So hopefully that means I'm getting fitter. Right? That's how that works?

8x 15 seconds hill sprints. VERY steep hill. LOTS of lactate. Muscle fatigue happening by the end of every rep.

That's going to feel good tomorrow.

Good, solid work. Feels great to have it done for the week.

Also, side note. A couple new, exciting notes about training and racing this spring.

As of last week I am officially a member of Team RunMN. Based out of the Twin Cities. Coached by Kelly Mortenson of RunMN. Really awesome team, I've been talking to them for a long time. I'm very excited to race for them this season!! When I get home in May I will receive my uniform, warm-ups, gear, etc. and a 40% discount at the RunMN running store is a seriously awesome perk.

As of yesterday I am officially registered for the TC 1 Mile on May 12th!

Excited to try a new race in a very competitive field! And excited to race and hopefully score for a new team.

I also sent in my request as an "elite" to be allowed into Grandma's half in June. Its on my training plan and I hope it happens. I haven't heard back yet, but I'm really hoping to race that half on the 18th. I know the race I choose doesn't really matter, and I could probably race just as fast at any half this summer, but that one is a very iconic race that I've always wanted to enter, and I know many other Twin Cities/Luther/Wayzata folk will be racing and it would be fun to be a part of the event for that reason.

Emailed the coach at Yale to see if they allow unattached runners into their events, and I'm hoping to enter a meet on April 9th. Perhaps run a 1500 and/or a 5k.
