Notes

Easy solo 5 miles after a little bit of work in the afternoon. My legs felt great, especially considering a tough workout on skis yesterday, and an hour and a half ski the day before. The variation makes it seem as though my legs are always fairly fresh, and that is a fantastic feeling. My goal is to keep my running mileage high enough to maintain some running fitness and supplement ski fitness, but ideally it won't be high enough to become too monotonous, and it'll feel fresh often. Key words there 'goal' and 'ideally'. We'll see.

Today was my first afternoon of the fall without cross country practice! WOAH! I was done with work at 3:30, technically!

And ironically and comically enough, tonight was our first coaches meeting of the year for Maple Grove Nordic, hah.

We have practice Thursday and Friday this week, before state on Saturday. But then I have all of next week free before Nordic starts the following Monday. So approximately 8 days of no coaching responsibilities between seasons.

Sounds right.
