1 mile TT vs. Paul and Rob. FTW for a burrito
Writing this a couple days after the race, so I guess excitement has worn off a bit but whats. I jogged down to the track and did a few laps as warmup. Alison drove down with some water and spikes. Went through the full skipping warmup which I haven't done in a while. I was really not feeling good about the run, but I think it was mostly the uncertainty and just kind of randomly picking a goal time to aim for that was messing with my nerves.
Decided to aim for ~4:40 and see how it went, so I guess I hit the nail on the head there. Felt very good once I started up, and took it out a little quick as I thought I probably would. 70(34/36), 72, 71, 67. My shoe came untied 400m in, which was very annoying but manageable. Honestly at the end I felt like it was pretty easy. I only started to feel tired the last 200m stretch. I wanted to conserve till the end to avoid blowing up, but given another shot I'd start to pick it up with about 600m to go.
