Dark Hollow Wallow 11 miler today day after Oak Ridge. Hadn't done this one before but knew there would be a couple good climbs. Looking at the field I knew I should be close to the win if not the favorite. LT weekend in training and knew legs would be a little tired but not to bad feeling. Got out in first mile leading the 11 mile then down first steep downhill Emmaual Freely went around bombing. But as soon the trail level out and started slight i up I started closing again. Up next steep climb got to him and just chilled behind for a bit before finally going around. Michael morrell was back in third. Hit the aid station and had a gap. Did a small out and back on flattish section but hit a blow down a wrecked by left foot of course. From there my toes and left foot didn't let me run smooth especially on the uphills couldn't toe off at all even walking. Had about a minute lead after 3.5 miles. Was on my own after that. Back section of course was hard to find trail in sections then hit the wall which was rock 2 rock like. Couldn't do shit on it with my left foot even power walk was week. then at the top super rocky continued to struggle with the foot. Got back to aid station and finished last 2.5 miles on a section that allowed me to run. With about 2-3k to go though i was done and had nothing on the uphills. Died harder then i feel i should have. Did get the win by 2+ mins which I will take. Given Emmanuel and Michael beat me by mins at dirty south and i won by minutes it was good weekend overall.
