Notes

did about 3.5 mile warmup with a mile of it with D. We ran down to the park to run a cruise interval workout today.

3x1 mile at Tempo/ 1min rest + splits- 5:46,5:57,6:01

4x 1 min Mile-3k pace/90 sec jog.

figured the Tempo would be 6:10-6:15 pace based off my 10 miler a month ago. went out alot faster then that though even though it didn't feel like it. Ran 2:50/2:56=5:46 for the first one. Took 2 min rest after waiting for D to finish hers and since it was faster then i wanted. Wanted to keep the next 2 under control and settled on 6:00 minute pace being alright. Ran 5:57 and 6:01. they felt great. after did the 1 minute fartlek to get the legs turning over. ran the cooldown with D.

Pace was much better then i expected today and I felt real smooth. I will chalk it up as just a perfect day and try not to get carried away this weekend at the 5k. Still plan to go out this weekend conservative for first 1k and then make my decision there. 17:30-17:45 will be good enough right now depending on the course.
