Workout: 5 x 800 @ AP (2:44-48)/ 2:15 rest + 5 x 300 @ R (55-58)/ 2 min rest

First straight AP workout on the river this morning in a few weeks. Felt good on warmup and left calf was fine by the time i started workout. Didn't do a great job pacing the first 400 on each rep. Came across the old mark faster then last year so was feeling good. Overall solid on the 8's. I was working and feel the AP is a weakness for sure me along with coordination at speed. Avg 2:44.6 and 2:50 4 wks ago. Didn't think i was moving that fast on the 3rd one. On last one intentionally went out slower trying to pace better and was pretty even on that one and felt more in control. The 300s were tough last 100 of each. I was getting out hard and avg pretty fast on them. Sub 5 min pace though so happy with them. Felt smoother on them but need to continue to focus on form during the work.

Top HR was only 165 with the new monitor so it does seem that my max is low. 800s a little short and long rest but i don't think i would max at 180.
