Workout: 8 x 800 @ CV/60 sec rest (3 min after set) + 2 x (200@R/200 jog + 4 @R)2:40 rest + 2 x 200 @ F/200 jog

800 goals: 2:59-3:04, R- 76-81, F-35-38

Overall pretty pleased with this workout. Last 24 hours I went over a bunch a different options for the workout. Initially planned a full Rep workout, then as I thought more i really thought some Stamina work would be best for me. Even mid workout ended up deciding 4 miles of CV work instead of 3 and a little less Rep work. I really like the decision. I think I need spices of rep work and strides but not necessarily alot of full workouts as last fall i died out towards the end of the block when I put more focus on Max V02 and faster and extending reps. Anyways felt good with the CV and work. I was a little off pacing at times because I was debating the workout in my head so sometimes I would be a little quick and other times slow a little to much but still overall was good work. Once I switched to the the Rep stuff I was suprised how smooth and easy I went under 80 second pace for the 400s. Then the 33 on the first 200 @ 800 effort really through me off. I will take it though. Again I think the strides I have done easy med hard are a nice edition and just enough rep work. Looking to close the gap down on Gideon this weekend in the trail race which I think very possible.
