Workout: 12 x 400 @ AP-V02(90-86) + 4 x 200 @ 1500-800 on last on/200 jog

(1-5 rest 1 min, 6-9 50 sec rest, 10-12 40 sec rest)

Well the workout was executed really how I would have liked it to go today but got solid work in. Goal was to be 87-88 feeling fairly smooth on the majority and I missed the mark on that. I would like to think the conditions played a role in it as much as anything which is realistic. While the temps were in the high 30s this morning there was some freezing rain last night so that made the bridges and a couple random spots around the park very slick. This made it difficult to just find a rhythem and be smooth throughout has I had to dodge and really chop steps at time and be really focused on footing. This caused some consistently uneven splits as I was usually out a little quicker on first 200s. Also on all of the even 400s I ran against the wind for a good portion of the run. I did most of the workout back and forth as on the first 400 as it seem to have the best footing. 200s were ok with last one dropping down to move the legs. I will take the workout overall but would like to run smoother throughout the next type of workout like that. Maybe pushed a little to much towards V02 paces but still handle well with the cutdown rest.
