Notes
So fun to be back in MINNESOTA!
This was such a light in my running life today. I saw so many people I hadn't seen in a while including the one and only Maggie PB (her last names now remind me of personal best every time I think about it). It was windy and there was some silly snow on part of the course and it was a little chilly and .... it was also so dang fun. I jumped in without expectations and only the goal of remembering how fun it is to run with a group of people and to do it fast. I ran up more hills than I've seen since I was in Decorah and I put on racing flats for the first time since I broke myself at Headwaters. I showed a little ankle and wore capris - delightful despite the chill - and even tried out the RED glitter my momma gave me for Christmas because she knows my truly sparkly and ridiculous heart.
Oh yeah - and as far as the race goes - I felt good! I pushed parts of it and found that my legs haven't moved that fast in a while and also enjoyed being pulled along by the tall guys who were wonderful windblocks. I was excited for the turn around that included a tailwind and a bit more uphill on the way back, and of course excited for the finish line and a chai latte that was calling my name.
Let's do this.
