Tried to beat the rain but opted not to modify the normal Lifetime route...that was a mistake. We started getting rained on after about 7-8 miles and then it really started to come down. Fortunately, we pulled off by MNHS and took shelter under an awning. We waited about 10 minutes or so and then turned around and tried to head west and then south to avoid the storm. We didn't have much luck though. Sky cleared up about 1 mile from the parking lot and an AWESOME rainbow formed!
