Felt really good on this 5 mile run. I was very happy with the last 4 miles. I felt very comfortable on mile 2-4 and then pushed it hard on the 5th mile. I need to figure out how to run more consistent splits. I seem to run much better when I start out slow and then progressively speed up throughout the workout. Yesterday's run didn't go well (tried to go sub 8:00/mile for 3 miles from the beginning). I need to find the middle ground. Doing a 1/2 mile warmup at a 10:00/mile pace may help resolve the problem.
