Advertised as a 5K, 8M, and 25K. Unsure of 5K but 8M measured 8.6M and 25K measured 16.3M.
Rain all day the Friday and constant rain during the race made for a very muddy and slick run, made the downhills slides and the uphills climbs from tree to tree, especially the last mile, which had everyone ran on twice and the 8Mers and 25Kers ran three times. Mud and rain on the trails = FUN!
Thought I was in 4th place when I came out of the woods for a short run on the Dam and about 1 1/4 mile to go, and saw the two guys I was running with at the start only 30 seconds ahead. Caught one but the other knew I was coming and I finished about 30 seconds behind him, everytime I got close he would pull away on a hill. When I crossed the finish they told me I was 3rd overall. Not a big field but I'll take it.
