Why do I run: I run to escape from the world, it's a chance to let my mind go blank for an hour or so. It's just me and the road in those moments. I also run to improve myself as an athlete and a person, I am a happier person when I am training. |
Why I started running: In sixth grade I played football and didn't like it very much. I went to a small Lutheran school and my mom told me I had to either play soccer or run cross country. I knew I definitely did not want to play soccer because I was never any good at it. So I decided to run cross country. Little did I know it would be one of the best decisions of my life.
There have been so many amazing connections that have come because of this sport. I am happy to say that I made the right choice. |
