Hi everyone,
I'm very new to running (about 1 month in) and completely new to this forum, but I just wanted to chime in and say thank you for all the inspiration. I've always been fairly active but running was the one activity I never thought I could do. I'm only trudging along and maybe running 2-3 miles at a time, but these stories make me wonder if a marathon isn't completely crazy - someday. I also wonder what I might look like 20 pounds lighter.
Keep the inspiration coming, it helps me get up in the morning and put on those sneakers.

| Thanks Maplefly! My love of cooking - plus the fact that I work in food television and am surrounded by food or images of food ALL DAY - is one of the main reasons I started to run. This job can be pure torture... |

Before is the day of my first daughters birth, wife still in surgery(c section), weighing in around 210lbs.
Heh...that's still less than I weighed when I gave birth...
Amazing...you are definitely one of those people who knocked 10 years off of your appearance with the weight loss. NICE job! |

Funny thing actually. Before I got married there really are no pictures of me. Probably less than 20 floating around but nothing other than that. That's about the best I can do. As for weight, I'm still no where near HS or Pre college(2nd time), but for me I'm happy.
Zoom, funny you should say 10 years. True story,
Me and the wife went to see The Happening awhile back. So we pulled up, in our minivan, got out and walked up to the window.
"Two for 'The Happening'" "Yeah? We're gonna need to see some ID" "Are you serious?" "Yes" "But I'm 31!"
True story.
