Tomorrow I hope to break the no running streak.  Right now at least my ankle feels pretty good.

Good luck tomorrow. I will be crossing my fingers, my arms, my legs my ears and my eyes for it to be a heck of a good run.

5 miles tonight in 81F. 3.1 with my DH in 35.44 seconds...A PR time for him at that distance!

And my legs are back!!!!(post marathon, that is)

I got a call from DG. They seem to having a blast!!!

    Go tamster go!!!!

Enkie, I am calling you with a mock interview this weekend...after all that is one of the topics I teach as an Employment Specialist. Send me your number in an message here! You will do great.

Twocat.  good luck tomorrow, but at least there is the dreaded elliptical.  I hate those things, but I spent about 6 months on one trying to stay in Boston shape,  I qualified a couple months after I could run again.

Enke,  I can't offer You much advice on the interview.  but stay loose,  as others have said,  BREATHE.  My hardest part is selling my self.  I hate to try to talk my self up.  Force yourself to.  I know You will rock it!

Mari.  So glad Your legs are back.  We will soon have to start working on prerace activities, see what your son wants to do, and see how many other Seattlites are around a week from tonight.  (Friday the 24th dinner)

      Some obvious options are

The pink door if it is a fairly small group (reservations if we know how many)  The Seattle marathon classic prerace dinner

LaVita e' Bella ,  The Seattle marathon fall back.  probably no reservations required.

The Spaghetti Factory.  Tet would say absolutely not.

Bucca Di Beppo  another chain,  probably crowded.

      or the official pasta dinner

Or whatever your son wants to do, since he is the guest of honor.

Thanks Dave, I was thinking the same thing. I plan to have a family council tomorrow at breakfast to decided the final plan. I will keep you posted!

Go dove go!!!! I miss ya girlfriend!

          Enke--Leslie gave very good advise!

Twocat--I remember the story, now.  You had a very bad day that day as I recall.

I was supposed to go on a recovery-type 4 miler tonight, but my son--the college cross country son--came home and I went 8 miles with him.  I know--I ran too hard and too far--but when I get a chance to run with him--I take it.  8 miles in 54:49.  I'm pretty sure it was more than 8, too!  Okay--if I'm going to get up at 4:00 and go up to Duluth in the morning, I have to get to bed!

          Go runners!!!

I have been unable to run since Thursday April 7 at 3:07pm east coast time.  But who is keeping track?  Joking  The reason I know the exact time is that I sprained my ankle falling down the stairs at the train station trying to make the 3:07.  Uh, yes, I missed it.  Sad   This makes 10 full weeks of no running.

I feel your pain, Twocat.  Keeping track here, too.  Sunday will be the beginning of Week 13. Sad  Boo hoo!

PBJ, you know what would be a riot?  Answer the survey and tell them that you received TWO dishwashers and thank you very much, not sure if you were supposed to send one back or if it's free but you and your family have always wanted an extra one.  What a company!  etc. etc.

               Big grin

Happy Anniversary PBJ and Long Suffering!

Enke – I’ve heard of some schools doing that for 5th grade and sometimes for kindergarten, too.  Around here, not any to-do at all.  Every grade ends the same way – SUMMER!  Good luck with the job interview!

Twocat – keeping my fingers crossed for you…

Leslie – DH staying an extra month, if that’s what he needs, sounds like a good plan.  He’ll have to come out eventually, though, so having a good plan in place is something he should be working on.  He’s already ahead of the game by having a great gal like you…

Too busy to post yesterday, but I ran 6.6 miles in the morning.   Work, couples golf league with DH, then softball game for DD, kept me busy all day.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
