Uggh! O.K my joints are killing me, hips, knees, etc... I have been following this program for about 5 weeks and really the hardest part is doing workouts in my racing shoes. I guess it is really up to me whether I do this or not, but the young college studs are doing it. I was feeling so great after last nights workout that I actually contemplated doing 20 miles today. Once I woke up that thought quickly went away. Usually I am a little stiff for the first few miles on my long run, but today I hurt the whole way. For the marathoners out their it was like doing the last 10k of a marathon for 2 hours. The pace was relatively slow for what I have been doing so maybe I got some rest and tomorrow's 90 minutes will feel much better. I am going to hit 90 miles for the first time in two years, the only difference is that it is off of alot of fast miles. The mileage isn't that big of a deal, if I wanted to add morning runs I would easily be over 100, but the effort has been high all the time. I am going to take much better care of my body from here on out.
