Wasn't thoroughly ready for this. Thought there was a heat between Kyle's and mine. They called my name and I had to sprint to get my flats on and change into a singlet. Did one 100 meter stride and jumped around a bit. Got out well and was surprised to be in the lead at 100 meters. Had no real thoughts that I would hold the lead, but it was nice to not have to worry about tripping over anyone. High schoolers sitting on me the whole time -- whatever. Ran smoothly through 5 laps and then the speedsters started reeling me in. Stayed on it fairly well and was fairly happy with the overall results.
