Did not execute this one the way that I planned!!!
Plan was to ease into it with 6 miles and then do 5x (3k @6:30 and 1k @7:00 to 7:30).
Needed a porta potty stop at around 4.5 and I hit lap to see how much time I would lose -- OOPS! Forgot that would start the 5 repeats. So, the first 1 mile of the first 3k includes a potty break. Might have cooked my goose there trying to get to pace? Rookie mistake!
After that, I was pretty much alone the rest of the race. I passed (or repassed from potty break) three people in the first repeat and after that, I didn't see another runner until mile 9 (when I saw two).
The last repeat wasn't going well, so instead of doing the last 1400, I eased into that one and then tried to pick it up during the "recovery."
Last mile kick just to be able to do it. Looks like I averaged 6:44 during the "interval portions" which added up to around 10.12 miles.
Taper, bring me some magic!!!
