Ran this to support Doug Krohn as I wasn't running Anoka. Really small turnout this year -- I hope that this isn't a trend for him...
OK, maybe I ran a bit harder than I should have? Was planning to get out in 6:45 and was actually in like 20th place at the quarter mile. As I stared to pass people, I finally looked at my watch and it said 6:16. Tried to back it off to 6:25, but that didn't really work. First place was long gone at that point, but there was another runner (a woman) that seemed like she wanted to race. I was still trying to be controlled and just running with her. She would move forward and then I would catch up on the tangents. Finally made the turn by Chaska Blvd and she started to fade. So, just tried to maintain the effort to the finish.
Not a bad day.
