COMMENTS: Well, the race didn't go as well as hoped.
I did set a new PR -- so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
Some speedsters showed up & I ran a stupid race in the conditions -- HOT & HUMID (81 with 75 dewpoint @ race time).
Tried to go out hard & just faded bad!
Results -- 6th OA (3rd in AG) in an OFFICIAL time of 30:13 (a 1:55 better than last year).
Here's the splits from my watch (don't add up to the total time):

The heat/humidity was just so oppressive, I actually stopped at two water stops to make sure I got a mouthful in & dumped the rest on my head. Probably cost me the sub 30. Oh well, I needed it!
The good news:
Keeman ran a 2:37 PR & won his AG!
I beat both of his teammates (they finished 7th and 8th)
Definitely a learning experience! The two that beat me in the AG, went out a bit easier than me & finished stronger -- live & learn.
I just hope it's cooler Saturday for the Urban Wildlife.
