Notes
This was much too hard for the pace. It was OK up to about 20k, but fatigue was setting in. It only got worse from there. I had thoughts of quitting here and there, it has been long week etc etc, but just kept fixing on the fact that I need to get to 30k. At the end of lap 12, I knew I was still marginally short of 30k because of the short lap early in the run to get back to the meeting place by 9:00. It was so tempting to stop, but somehow I pushed myself around for another short 1.2 km loop. I know I am doing these runs on tired legs, with some hard running the day before, inadequate fueling, and warm temperature. But still, it is not very confidence-inspiring to feel thoroughly spent after just 30 slow km. I guess there is time for it to improve.
