I really do have to work hard to get my heart rate up. Those laps 2 & 3, where I am having to really work to get the heart rate up, feel almost like tempo run effort, only HR does not go up to tempo level. Heart rate only gets up to UA on the uphill. Laps 4 & 5 everything is humming along and it is not such an effort to keep the heart rate up. While there is still some HR drift, it is not all that pronounced. When I got to the end, could I have kept going at this pace? Yes, but it would soon get hard to hold. Running this far at this pace is kind of hard on the legs, especially the niggly bits (especially left achilles).
