I see on the plan I was hoping to do 3:50 pace (2 seconds/km faster than my 5km equivalent), put it down to high 37 when I saw the course was fast (optimistic at the time), then got way too optimistic and thought maybe high 36. That was never in the cards, though, so I'm not the least disappointed. Splits look really pretty good based on elevation and the race I wanted to run (nice last two km). I need to keep working on hills in the next phase of my base training and introduce more stamina workouts (7th km was too hard - felt good, but wasn't fast), the latter being obvious for a couple weeks.
