Notes

Life events prevent my high priority aerobic run tomorrow. So, I did it today instead of the low priority, short, easy jog that was scheduled. To try to combine both, I wanted to extend my run from a mile to three miles. I didn't quite make that all as a run either. After a brief warm spell, we had some rain earlier today on top of the snow melt. That was followed later today by a cold front moving in. The result was sheets of ice on the path along the lake and on parts of the sidewalk. While this never resulted in a fall for me, it often resulted in my support foot slipping out behind me as the next foot was landing. I paid for those extra foot snaps later in the run. By about the two mile point, my right hip was tight as were my right achilles and left calf. A half a mile later, I began walking to loosen them. Once I turned the corner and had the wind at my back, I again ran for a while along with a few slips and slides. After a brief stop at the next intersection and a sprint across the street, I resumed the walk back home. I think this will suffice for today. Or, maybe I'll do a little 100up later.
