Notes

The route I ran today was down North Hollow to the Post Office Road, and then down to route 100 near the bowl factory and back home. Total distance was 13 miles. Normally I'd mark this as Low HR Long, but that wouldn't be accurate today. I started the run doing strictly 155 bpm or below, but around the 6 mile mark I decided to forget that and just grab a comfortable pace and go. According to the map, I was bouncing around between 8:30s and 9:30s for the last 7 miles, with my HR going between 160 and 175. The uphill 1.25 miles to the finish I was doing 9:30s with HRs in the 190s.

I feel good, but I have some aches. Especially my left calf, which feels like I either have some acute tendinitis or I pulled the muscle. I may take the day off tomorrow if it feels bad. This run was probably dumb; not only was it the longest run I've done, it was also probably the highest intensity as well. Should have chosen one or the other, and I hope I don't end up with an injury.
