This run was not the best I've ever had. I felt out of sorts this morning and I was coughing up a lot of stuff. I believe that I'm experiencing the beginnings of the Vermont allergy season. Whatever it was, it affected my run in a negative way. On the way out it was all right and I was able to keep my HR around 140-145, but the way back is when it started to get bad. My pace had to drop to what felt like a considerably slower rate, and I was struggling to be under 150. It fluctuated for a while and I finally said "to hell with it" and just ran at a comfortable pace. Man, heart rates are so weird.
