Notes
I ran down Senor Road to the Roxbury Mountain Gap and back for a total of 8 miles. It was a really good run compared to the past few days; the weather was perfect, the pace was easy, and keeping my HR down was no problem. The average HR was 151, but that's skewed for two reasons: there was a 30 second period going by a house with an invisible fence that caused my HRM to glitch and record 225 for the duration, and for mile 6-7 I decided to just go and see what I could hit for a brisk mile. For everything up to mile 6, and from 7-8, I was averaging 145 and doing around 9:00-9:30 pace.
I was pretty excited about my quick mile, because it shows me that I still have some remnants of speed left over. I'm convinced that if I warmed up and did an all out mile, I could drop under 6:00. I'm not so convinced that I could go under 20 minutes for a 5k, but now I'm really interested in trying.
