Notes

Sunny, 23 degrees, no wind. The weather has been brutally cold the last week and a half. Barely above zero during the day. Today was finally nice enough to get out and run. Ran the usual way to the high school but instead of going back up to Somerset, I went back down to Hancock and ran all the way to Lincoln Ave. Then I turned up to Somerset and ran all the way back to the usual turn to head back up to Penobscot. Felt pretty good, but ran an easy pace since I hadn’t been out for a while and the roads were snowy and icy along the edges. Climbing up the last big hill in Stickytown my left knee started to get sore, tight IT band. Had to stop at the end of Maple street and walk for a bit. Decided I’d better cut it short. Ran up the hill to the church but then had to run walk down Maine Ave. to the mill. My hips felt okay, I think it was sore from not running for so long. Glad to get back outside. Good run.
