Notes

Was drenched & frozen by the end of this one, but that aside, this was one of those runs I've been waiting for for ages. The pace isn't the telling factor. It's the effort level (low) and how my lungs and legs felt (for a change.) Stayed on top of this run the whole time. No aches. No pains. Breathing was easy, legs felt bouncy, like they wanted to be turned loose (haven't felt that in I don't know how long.) Even the last three miles (7:55, 7:45, 7:38) were almost effortless. If only I could bottle this...minus the rain. Not sure if this was a turning point in my training or just a fluke, but I'll happily take it for whatever it was. These are the kinds of runs we wait for as runners, because we know they'll happen. For me, it hasn't been frequently enough, but they keep me coming back to slog through the tough ones.
