Notes

Met with Dan L. for a hill workout on the 1-mile gravel trail around the park. No rain today, and actually relatively warmish (48° or so.) Intentional or not, this one got kicked up a notch from last week's run. Splits were 8:43, 8:23, 8:11, 7:54, 7:36, 7:06. Started feeling this one at around mile 4. The last mile was tough. On the final hill, I threw a mental rope around Dan's waist so he could pull me up (thanks Dan.) Great run, though. I know from past experience that these hilly runs build strength. I also like to think that the gravel trail minimizes the pounding I get from the roads. The post-run coffee & conversation is a bonus, too.
