Taper Question (Read 117 times)


    I am running my first marathon on Oct. 20, so just under 3 weeks. Can someone give me guidance on how to manage my taper in terms of weekly mileage.You will see in the month of September I really ramped up my mileage and did just under 190 miles. I am thinking this week 25-30 miles, next week 20-25 miles, and then race week 10-15 miles? Does this strategy make sense? My legs are really tired at the moment so only did 4 miles last night, and will probably only do 4 miles tonight...thanks





      That seems like a bit too much of a drop this early.

      I would think 40, 30, 15-20 would be a better plan.

      Vision without action is a day dream.

      Action without vision is a nightmare.
