Upstairs Downstairs above knee pain (Read 35 times)

    Tweaked muscle/tendon just above my knee while running today. Sensation was like my knee "buckled" - bothered me for a few minutes enough to alter my stride. I walked for 5 minutes started to run again and was fine. Now I get pain there when I stand from sitting or when walking up or down steps. Looking for a gameplan on what to do?

    • Ice it?
    • Stretch it ?
    • Rest it ? How long?
    •  Compression?
      • Can I cross train for a few days - if so what - bike? elliptical?
      • What about strength exercise?
