I'm a busy full-time working mum. When I train I need to be in our house as I can't leave the kids. I want to train for a marathon and will need to use a treadmill.
What is the best treadmill to purchase that can handle marathon training km? I need it to allow me to upload downloaded videos via USB or at least allow me to stream videos for entertainment reasons.

whatever you do, If you're going to run distance at pace (7min/mile or faster), get a Commercial grade TM, the regular units don't hold up if you run HARD. I've had mine for 2 yrs and it runs like it did when it was first assembled. It has a few thousand miles on it...
One day at a time
I would recommend getting a maintenance contract, whatever machine you purchase. We got our NordicTrack treadmill about 14 years ago and it's still going strong. I think just about very part of the machine has been replaced at this point. They won't let us renew the contract again, it's so old, ha. The technician who serviced it said he'd never seen a treadmill with that many miles on it (my husband uses it almost every day).

Further to sub7's comment, I would also really recommend going for a wider, longer deck. It makes a difference.
