Aching legs (Read 680 times)

abigz

I recently started increasing my mileage and have noticed an aching pain on the back of my legs, behind my knees. I don't remember them hurting when I run but they are still hurting days later. Has anyone ever had this problem or know what causes it? Thanks
The ususal culprit is increasing too much mileage too soon, and not enough rest days in between. If you are increasing miles, make sure they are EASY miles, at a slower pace than you would normally run all out at. If you are not used to running back to back days, take a day off to let your legs recover a bit. Also, there are Any number of things that can make the legs ache. Road Surface, hills or no hills, shoe wear.... etc. If you make your training log public, everyone can see how your training and offer better advice. There are lots of great experienced runners willing to help you.
