Good Bad & The Monkey
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
Why is it sideways?

Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

There is one BIG problem though, and it's part of the reason behind the strange paradox in America that the rich people are thin and the poor people are fatter: healthy vegetables etc. are frickin' expensive. Our new thing is asparagus - do you KNOW what a big bundle of asparagus costs? It's enough so that you could feed a family of four for a week on Mac & Cheese and Ramen Noodles for that same price. Easy.
So I guess my daily protein shake is a no-no. I'm pretty sure my gramma did not buy 100% Isolate Whey Protein powder from a 'health food store' and then mix it in an electric blender with 1% milk, and low-fat yogurt and frozen berries or imported bananas. *sigh*
To paraphrase an old poster: Today is the first day of the rest of your training. It doesn’t matter where you started or how far you’ve come. Today is the day. Your training didn’t start 6 weeks ago. Your training started the last time you hit the road. John “the Penguin” Bingham Life is not tried, it is merely survived if you're standing outside the fire
The fruit and the yogurt are fine. Heck, make your own yogurt. It is incredibly easy to do. And cheap. And delicious. And has fewer ingredients. The frozen berries and bananas are fine.
Careful, JK, I found these words in one of your posts: "Anyone who brings up politics on this board ... is, by definition and by virtue of my unilateral decree, a wootless asshat." signed the dirty hippie.

I too agree with the premises. It really has a LOT of good information. Like Mike's gramma says... "Eat lots of food. Eat all the colors every day. All things in moderation. Home made is better than store-bought." I try... (for the most part).
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
I actually have an old Braun Yogurt Maker from the '70's/'80's
Better 100% isolate than a protein blend
