Thanks to everybody who gave me advice to help me through my first marathon. I finished this morning in 3:53. It went better than I thought. I'll give a race report tomorrow when I have some energy.

I remember you; you're the one who did a long run and felt flat or something... I thought your marathon was still way to go??? Guess I thought wrong. Congratulations! Good effort; sub-4. You beat my wife's first marathon by a minute! Good on ya.

Very nice marathon! Good Work. Did you post a race report with all the guts and glory? FYI: This was the thread Nobby was thinking of. Your race pace compared to the times in your logs surprise me. Did you ever run over your race pace?
