Very Cool! Congratulations on the article! I can be unnecessarily long-winded but if you want another I had my first BQ last year

Hmmm, just reread mine. Kinda reminded me of some fundamental stuff I seem to have forgotten just lately. Not as lame as I remembered, which is unusual.

Very cool. I already read a few entries .

I would have to guess some of my answers since it was such a long time ago when I ran my first one (1973). I ran over 30 marathons and every single one I finished was BQ (one DNF would have been BQ if I just walked the last 6 miles, but that was not my concern).

I ran tons of miles for my best marathons, but I also BQed from zero running (two years ago when I ran my personal worst which was BQ by 20+ minutes), but I'm probably not your typical recreational runner.

Slow and steady never wins anything.

I think once you are on an Olympic team, you don't get to call yourself a "recreational" runner.

I have 55 BQs... the one and only superior statistic here I can imagine. :-)
