Hope to run 3200 on Jul 5th, and would like to PR (<11:12). Means I have to go a tiny bit faster than my 3000 PR last week, but I hope to have close competition, which should help.

Even better than expected -- 11:00.4 -- (5:35 split) -- but I was wanting to quit around laps 5 & 6 -- substantially more miserable than in my 3000 a week ago, I think. But it's hard to know, because the memory of the misery fades.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

    Feeling the growl again

Tonight, Hendricks County 5K Series #5 -- 16:40.  I still think the last one was short and the weather is even more miserable today.  50/50 chance I will get to go to this one.

Track meet tonight: either I'll run the 5000 all-out, and try to PR (<18:10), or more likely, I'll chicken out of that, and go for an easy 1500 PR (<5:30).

It will also be on trails, although not single track or anything like that, and it will probably have a moderate hill. Have fun! I'll be eating steak Wink

DNS.  Got out of work late, wife had a hard day, so I got some quality time in with the family instead and did not run.  Finally found an hour to get the damn tree out of my driveway that has been there for a full month...been that busy.

My car said 94 degrees on the way home.  Fuck that noise.

That felt awful - it isn't running that is stupid, it is racing anything from 1500 up to the 5000 that is stupid.

But I got the 5000 PR by about 2sec, and ran the rest of the events (5000, 200, 800, 1500) with the focus primarily on the 5000 of course, but secondarily on the 1500, and I'm sure I must have PR'd it. Will have an estimate of it later when I look at my watch, I think.

And with temps in the 80s!  Congrats!

7/9-7/16 a couple days blowing off steam and bouldering at Vedauwoo, then a few days backpacking in Washakie Wilderness, then a couple more of the same in Grand Teton NP. Goal: don't end up like that person in Yellowstone.

You didn't add my earlier races to the list but I ran at Wellington XC today. Goal was to get selected for Nationals and I did :-) Top 6 selected (women over 35) and I was 5th. So next race now National XC on 23rd. Haven't really decided a goal yet but maybe top 5 in my (35-39) age group.

Sorry Mandy, I think I caught it all up for you now.

Congrats on going to Nationals!  That is so cool.

Congrats Mandy, going to the nationals and representing Wellington is awesome.

mile 21ish i fell hard - had to run to 24 or 25 to drop.  I would have finishrf - feeling great, but we had to re-do a ski hill 4 mile loop with a steep slick down.  I had fallen on my but 2x the 1st time through.

Bone is broken - a chunck right before the elbow.  I may lose a lot of range of motion in that arm (right).

Ugh, that's horrible. I hope it heals better than expected. This begs a crack about range of motion in your drinking arm but it is also not something that sounds good to joke about.

That sounds awful :-( When will you know about how it will affect the arm long term. Is it in plaster now?
