Go Whiskers!  Hope it’s a good race for you.

Boot day 54. It’s really foggy here today. The temperature went up close to 60 overnight. Weird.

                    Good morning!

                    Go Whiskers!

I rode 63 excellent miles on a beautiful and warm morning.  It was 55 when I left home, and it never dropped below 45 while I was out.  It was wonderful to get outside for a few hours.  The trainer workouts are paying off, as this was my fastest metric yet.

                    Have a great day!

                      Still cruising, 15k at 9:39.

Are the hills more in the front half, back half, or all throughout?

16 miles of "rolling hills " and then mostly flat

                          Ugh.

I count it as one of my marathon failures, (along with Boston), but I actually didn't do too bad considering what I thought I was facing versus what I actually faced.

That sounds pretty awful. You might think after the hills, it’s smooth sailing the rest of the way. But the hills have destroyed you, and you are entering what is always the most painful part of the race with even more fatigue than usual.

35 degrees and raining here. I just ran 13.5 miles in that bullshit.

I went out for a workout but ended up jogging it in. I haven't felt right since last weekend (some kind of cold virus) and didn't see the point of pushing the issue at this time on the calendar, so I didn't.

It was nice and sunny. I liked that.
