That's an awesome "holy crap, I am so glad to be done" photo lol
Nice work!!
Well done and a huge PT congrats!

Well, that looks pretty miserable. Congrats on the PR! (That should count for double, given the weather conditions.)

You kicked major ass out there cjones, and in the rain and against the wind... your training had definitely paid off

Great race cjones! That 0 drop shoes part must have really been hard, and your calves/Achilles must not have liked you much. But you toughed it out! Great job!
Return To Racing
Okay cjones, you convinced me to run next year's HM. Too bad my kids aren't still there so I could stay for "free". Congrats on the wet PR. I assume you will be running the FM next year? Let's hope for better weather.
Docket: thanks!
LRB: thanks! I definitely appreciate the encouragement and advice. I can't wait to see what the next cycle brings.
Ginny: thanks and congrats on your race as well!
PRs:
5k - 20:51 - 9/5/15
10k - 47:00 - 5/25/15
15k - 1:10:19 - 11/21/15

26.2 - TBD (someday)
Oski: thanks, and yes that's exactly what it was.
PAD: thanks!
bluerun: thanks! It was only miserable after I finished.
Free soul: thanks! At least I had only one race this weekend.
Cyber: nothing new on race day, right? I did it to myself.
Jerry: you won't regret it. It's a great event. If I were to jump to the full, I think I'd prefer a fall race. Maybe next year.
Congrats on the big PR!
wow, you smoked that 1:45 goal!! What a great race, congratulations!
Great call on the hat; they are a lifesaver when it's raining.
5k - 22:53 (May 2015)
10k - 50:00 (unofficial; part of 20k race, March 2015); 50:33 (official; July 2016)
HM - 1:48:40 (Apr. 2015)

Hell of an effort, Jones! Congratulations! That's not just a PR...that's like an entirely different runner. You have the potential to knock a lot more off that time. If you're only now getting those miles up, doing that consistently over a longer period time will only help. Great job, man!
Those conditions look awful...very similar to the HM I ran last October, but at least mine wasn't windy.

hog4l, musicgirl - Thank you!
Baboon - thanks, I agree. I trained for my first HM like a total noob, and while I probably made a mistake or two this time, overall it was a MUCH more well executed plan. Can't wait to smoke my 10k time next month.
I'm very proud of you, my Dailies friend. You have trained so methodically, so hard... And you ran this half in such a perfect way! You deserve to feel awesome about your great finish time and PR! Congratulations!
PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013
Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013

Loved the report, and holy heck that is huge PR!
Congrats!
"If" *cough* "When" you decide to do 26.2, have you looked to see if there is a race in Zihuatanejo?
Barking Mad To Run
Congrats on your race, cj, and the PR! Glad your wife finally found you so you didn't have to be rescued by EMTs.
