Former Bad Ass
Man, you guys have been chatty for 8:30am! I have Pilates and 6 miles tonight.
I don't think mine are there. Mine are required to be so convoluted, a cartwheel is included in the middle of them.

There was a woman at the track yesterday running in jeans. I said hello anyway as I passed her and she didn't acknowledge me...not so much as a glance. She was not wearing headphones. I don't like her.

This sounds like a Baboon workout. What are you doing for recoveries?
This was one of my favorite Tuesday workouts back when I could train. It eventually became mile repeats, but the base was 5 minutes or 1200 meters (which took about 5 minutes depending on the day).
My 5:00 intervals come to about 1200 meters. Generally speaking, at what kind of race pace does one usually do 1200's? Mine have been coming in around 10K pace, though last night I purposely ran them around HM pace. I log stalk what others do and they run intervals at a much, much faster pace than what I do them at.
Mmmmm...beer
Mine isn't on that list, but I work in IT, so I know better. None of those passwords would work on my network either, I set the policy to a minimum of 8 letters, must have upper case, lower case, numerical and special character, and it can't be any of your last 24 passwords (yeah, my users hate it lol).
Been running pain free for the last five days, woohoo!!! Keeping it short and easy to ease back into it. Probably take tomorrow off, because I don't do freezing rain. Meeting with some friends on Sunday to work out my 100 miler training plan, should be fun.
Hope everyone has been doing well!!!

Were there jeans for real? I ask because INKnBURN has a denim selection of running gear and some do look like real jeans, LOL. Weird woman.

Oh, you must have created the rules for our passwords. I hate you.
LOL If you were the one on the hook when there's a network breach, then you would want the same policy in place. If there's one thing the Navy taught me, it's CYA at all times.
We had this policy and the Chinese still got our data!

'Sup. Did you get injured and I missed it?
Those same password rules are becoming more common, which now that I have the foundation for it already, I don't mind it as much.

That was my first thought as well, those things are head turners.

I work in IT, and was a security specialist for a few years before I went back to programming. What I hate about policies like the one you enforce(and most available, for that matter) is that I like pass phrases that are mathematically much stronger than what you require, and yet won't meet your policy requirements.
Example: "I love running because it is cool".
So what do I do when I need to meet requirements like the one you suggest? I come up with a pattern to re-use passwords, put the special characters in easy to remember places, do the "usual" permutations of numbers for letters (replace o with 0, e with 3, a with 4...) and in the end my passwords are weaker than if you let me do my own thing.
But I do understand that these policies are not meant for people like me, but for people who would choose 'flower' if there were no policies.
I use Daniels training paces for T and VO2 max intervals. Those are based off his VDOT chart, which are derived from a race performance.
For where I was, the pace for a workout of 1200s could be near 10k, or as fast as 5k, but never half marathon pace as Daniels does not include that in his training pace tree.

Had some knee issues that ended up being a result of me just being too tight (I never stretch!). Tightness in my hamstrings, sartorius, and another muscle that I can't remember (they all come together at the same spot on the inside of your knee), was causing knee pain. After a couple of ART sessions, and incorporating a stretching routine, I'm golden. If you look at my log, you'll see that I haven't done much running this month LOL

What I hate about policies like the one you enforce(and most available, for that matter) is that I like pass phrases that are mathematically much stronger than what you require, and yet won't meet your policy requirements. Example: "I love running because it is cool". Mathematically very very very strong (33 characters long) I will not forget it (So I won't write it down and leave the post-it under my keyboard) No special character, no numbers (fail) So what do I do when I need to meet requirements like the one you suggest? I come up with a pattern to re-use passwords, put the special characters in easy to remember places, do the "usual" permutations of numbers for letters (replace o with 0, e with 3, a with 4...) and in the end my passwords are weaker than if you let me do my own thing. Yup, lowest denominator, sorry. LOL
When I was doing the Daniels workouts, my mile repeats were run at a slightly slower pace (6:50), and I was taking 1 minute rest (easy running) between miles. Or 2 minutes if they were 2 miles at a time.
I'm running these 5 minutes at a 10K-ish pace, which is about 6:35. I'm still working out the rest period needed, but I'll do 3 minutes easy running between them today. I'm still adjusting with that pace.
On Tuesdays I usually run at 5K-ish pace (6:15) and I take as long easy running as my interval is, in time. So 3:00 on, 3:00 off, for example.
My home made marathon plan is this:
Right now I'm doing:
Tuesday: 5K paced Intervals
Thursday: 10K paced Intervals
Sunday: Long with MP miles
With 8 weeks to go til M-day, I might switch to:
Tuesday: 10K paced Intervals
Thursday: Daniels mile repeats
