I was really hoping you would find some extra miles for Cyberic, not for Lauren.
The dynamics are getting interesting. My mileage is going up as I train for the NY marathon, so I'm catching Half Crazy K 2.0 in the points column, but at the same time the higher mileage is raising my StdDev so I may soon be passed in that ranking by Docket_Rocket and wcrunner2, which would set me back in my pursuit of Half Crazy K 2.0.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Scotch Plains 5k, 6/12; Firecracker 4-miler, 7/4
Week 34 - Looks like we have a new leader.
It looks like it, but I'm not believing it until I know that Lauren doesn't have some missing miles to add.
Started running at age 60.
AG 60-64 PR - 5K 25:45, 10K 53:28, HM 1:57:39, Marathon 4:32:09
AG 65-69 PR - 5K 26:11, HM 2:02:39, Marathon 5:04:47
Upcoming race: Four on the 4th 7/4/24 maybe.
Week 35 - It seems Quickadder was right to be cautious as Lauren. did log miles after last week's results were posted. Still, he's now within 9 points of the lead vs. being 13 points out two weeks ago. My pursuit of Half Crazy K 2.0 suffered a setback when my increased mileage resulted in a higher StdDev, losing me 10 points to Docket_Rocket, who thus gained on wcrunner2. DavePNW is now tied with LRB.
I was asked about a deadline for logging miles. Lately I've been in the habit of re-checking the previous week when I update the current week. My thinking is since this is meant to be a long-term (i.e. years long) game with no point to "hiding" miles like there can be in the other game, it's better to have an accurate count, even if it means weekly results include retroactive changes. I guess this means I'll have to wait a week or so before posting year-end results (and before setting a new year's target - though a preliminary target is probably worth putting out there). The main point is to have fun with it and see how people fare from year to year (though with runners there's always some element of competition going on).

I read that summary like I was at the horse races, ha. Gaining on wcrunner

Are we there, yet?
You should catch me in a couple weeks. I'll have some downtime after I have my ablation on the 19th.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K, 9:11:09 06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
Week 36 - Looks like everyone has logged miles for last week. The race for first narrowed, as did the race for third, though there were no actual changes in the standings.
Week 37 - I had a big week and as a result I fell further behind Half Crazy K 2.0. I was 1 point back but now I'm 5 points back because my big week raised my StdDev to the level that Docket_Rocket took over second place from me in the StdDev standings. That's the way it goes sometimes. Quickadder may be frustrated that Lauren. logged 10 more miles after I ran the score last week, but he's closing in on wcrunner2 for 4th place in the StdDev standings, which could vault him ahead, though Lauren. is also closing on sdWhiskers for StdDev while the latter is catching up to BerthaSlayer on points. In short, not a lot of changes in the standings, but a lot of potential still there with 15 weeks to go.
Thanks to post-marathon recovery, I plan to be plummeting in the standings the next few weeks!

Week 37 - Quickadder may be frustrated
I get maximum points and find that I've dropped further behind.
Think it is going to come down to how many others end up between Lauren and I in the StdDev. rankings.

Remember, this is just one year of a multi-year event, so getting two points this year is still a very good start.
This will probably be my lowest mileage week of the year. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday zero days (doctor's orders), and Friday and Saturday may be also. I'm not sure I feel comfortable claiming a few leisurely miles strolling during recovery, since they may not even be at my walking cool down pace.
Week 38 - wcrunner2's prediction came true and with lower mileage his StdDev slipped, allowing Quickadder to get 10 more points and thus the lead. Fredford66 (yes, I'm writing about myself in the third person, but it helps with the style of putting player names in bold) took advantage of Half Crazy K 2.0's low week to take a slim lead for 3rd. Docket_Rocket and wcrunner2 switched places (again, I think) and Dan Fuller overtook RunningOnSand.

Of course, if wcrunner2 slips further next week, that may give Lauren 10 more points and allow them to retake the lead .... unless Fredford66 has another really big week and surrenders 10 StdDev points to me.

Hmm. Possible. I am hitting peak mileage for my marathon training. And then there will be the hit to StdDev when I have very low mileage the week after my marathon.
