Hi.
I had a 10:00 am massage scheduled and decided to pass on trying to cram in a run beforehand, so rest day.
Headed to a roller skating party in a bit and no, I will not be getting on them things again.
What up doe?

20:09 5K. I am just terrible. Packed snow and ice. Fts.

Are we there, yet?
You can't be too upset. After all you only said Fts instead of FTS.

Nice job, Baboon!
I went to Pilates and I have 5 miles tonight.
Damaris
Yesterday I did a lot of lifting and the exercise bike. Today I did a tad over 8 miles (first time over 8 since September!) at 8:34. Admitedly I cheated by making the last mile downhill but still I just discovered that while runkeeper is having problems syncing my watch run, it's showing up fine in the activity list and giving me splits and everything
Results are up.
1/13 AG
10/132 OA
Huh.
That sounds pretty damn good for snow and ice. (Precisely my PR in fact.) Well done. You are lucky you didn't slip and break your ass bone. I'm pretty sure I would have.
Anyway - went to the gym for 30 min on the elliptical & 30 min on the stationary bike.

Nice! Now follow your own rules.

I'm comparing results to two weeks ago when it was clear and dry. Folks were consistently 30-60 seconds slower today, even the top finishers. Now I don't feel so bad.
How's your back feeling today?
Don't be a douche?
No, feel free to douche it up. Swag report! (If any.)
Back is still kind of sucky but finally starting to get better. Still nervous to try running though.

Ah, the swag report. No swag for this race. $5 gets you a timed race. I did have two mini powdered donuts and two Keebler cookies after.
In the game of you versus 2017, you beat that bitch into the pavement with an ugly stick. Take the rest of the year off. You won't lose major fitness in three weeks, and the break will relieve you of the anxiety. Wake up, and run a mile on New Years Day (or 2), then build from there.
I like this advice
Short run this afternoon. Had to wait for most of the snow to melt. This may not be a good sign for winter, we have already had more snow events the last week than we did all last winter.
Baboon, nice race.
DavePNW, LRB gives good advice.
