I was directed to a thread on cool running from 2006, that was pretty trippy. Just think, someone may actually look at our stupid threads 9 years from now, and have no idea who we are.
That is a really, really scary thought...

Seven Deadly Shins
aww happylily! Thank you!
So did you make it to Toronto after all? where were you cheering? The crowd was so much better, louder, and more awesome than last year!
I did not see your name on the finishers list and had no idea what happened. Now I know - so sorry about those boots. Hope you are healing well. Absolutely, let's meet up in Boston! Cy is way faster than me, and I'm sure way cooler as well
I will think about an RR..

Vanity will be the death of me. It serves me right.
Yes, I was cheering at the corner of Yonge and Wellington, in front of the Irish Embassy pub. Did you know that cheering is hard? Way harder than running a marathon. Thank God there was a pub there...
Cy is fast and cool, but so are you!
Hey Toronto! I hope you read the past 8 months worth of dailies before posting?
We'll definitely have to meet in Boston. I'll introduce you to Cy, our recent BQer here. He's really cool, because... you know... he's from Montreal. Now write an RR for us, please!
That's me
I'm cooler than I'm fast. But I'm taller than I'm cool. I'm stupider than I'm tall.
LOL...
Hi all y'all.
7 miles on tap after work. I still can't believe I signed up for a half in two weeks. I haven't run one in almost 2 years. I just need to keep chanting "it's ok to be slow", it's ok to be slow".
What are your symptoms?
Depression, low self-esteem, the inability to smile or laugh...
Nothing a nice fat joint can't solve.
I just need to keep chanting "it's not a marathon, thank God it's not a marathon".
Let me help you with perspective on that. lol
Mmmmm...beer
Always good to focus on your strengths.

My running blog
Goals | sub-18 5k | sub-3 marathon 2:56:46!!
Better get on that!
Where are you staying for IMM?
Been lurking on and off for the past 4 months. You guys are killing me.
happylily: Yes, cheering is hard! You gotta be out there for hours! Thank you for doing that! Yonge and Wellington was my death march zone. But then that scream tunnel happened on Wellington just before Bay with all the crazy kids, and somehow that was enough to push me through.
Cyberic: LOL - I'm amazed at your first marathon. Seriously. What's your secret (other than being tall and cool)?
workinprogress: If you done even a 10 miler in this cycle, you'll be OK. If not, just jog it.
hey Baboon, LRB and Dave!
